Peg Clancy
Born: Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland


Peg sang as part of a duo with her brother, Bobby Clancy, in the early 1960's.


image Peg has been involved in the amateur Drama movement for many years, working as actor and director with Brewery Lane Theatre Group, Carrick-on-Suir. Peg has also starred in the TV show's "On Home Ground" and "Fair City". Peg is a sister of the well known Clancy Brothers. The youngest in the Clancy family, and has been featured on some of their recordings.

Peg is well known for her acting as for her singing, she has appeared in many Carrick-on-Suir Drama Club plays. In 1961, she won the Cork Drama Prize for the "best actress" of the year.

Peg, is married to Tom Power and one of their son's is a former National and International cyclist, Bobby Power.
